– HEIDI KELSO –


Heidi Kelso is the founder of HK Media Group, a full service entertainment media company based in New York City. She is an Executive Producer specializing in large-scale, high-profile projects and broadcast specials.

Heidi Kelso began her career at New York Magazine working for the legendary Creative Director Jordan Schaps working alongside photographers and stylists.  

Moving into music production she was working for Delsener/Slater Enterprises when an opportunity arose to help develop an emerging music festival called the H.O.R.D.E Festival.  Over the next several years she helped transform a single-stage, eight concert run into a triple-stage festival touring more than forty cities in amphitheaters across the country. Headliners included Neil Young, Lenny Kravitz, The Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews Band, Sheryl Crow, Beck, Phish, The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, Ben Harper, Govt. Mule, Wilco and countless others. Sponsors included Chevrolet, Panasonic, Microsoft, Yahoo and SonyPlaystation. Not for profit partnerships included Planned Parenthood, LifeBeat, Greenpeace, Surfrider Foundation and Rock The Vote.

Philanthropic work during this time included PR for The Paris Concert for Amnesty International, three Tibet Freedom Concerts for the Beastie Boys, Live 8 and Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefits.

Moving into broadcast and digital entertainment as a multi-camera line producer, producer and executive in charge at VH1, projects include three VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards, Grammy Pre-show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, Bon Jovi’s One Last Wild Night at Giant’s Stadium, The Concert for New York City; A Tribute To 9/11 at Madison Square Garden, MTV’s first ever six hour VMA digital live steam, Divas Live, Storytellers, Opening Night Live Concert Series, Backyard BBQ Concert Series and Divas Las Vegas.

Forming HK Media Group provided an opportunity to harness relationships across multiple platforms, leveraging long-term relationships with talent and industry leaders to create or collaborate on projects with an ultimate focus on and storytelling.  

Project highlights include 13 years (and counting) working with Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment on the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, five New Year’s Eve performances with Carson Daly, two Super Bowls and countless performances across the country with Jimmy Kimmel Live!, development for Fashion Rocks in Abu Dhabi and Brazil, Get Schooled College Challenge x The White House, Bill Gates Foundation and Viacom, Duran Duran Live From Wembley, Audioslave’s free open-air concert In Havana, Cuba, A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF hosted by Madonna & Gucci at the United Nations, Elite Model Look World Finale in Shanghai , talent partnerships for E! and Bravo’s The Fashion Shows,  fashion show and sponsorship for Opening Ceremony and Rob da Bank Essential Ibiza Playlist promotion x Rdio in Ibiza to name a few. 

Heidi is proud to sit on the gala benefit committee for DKMS, a charity dedicated to eradicating blood cancers and giving patients a second chance at life.

An avid world traveler, Heidi spends part of the year traveling to all corners of the globe designing and manufacturing her line of resort wear, furniture, home furnishings, and accessories for LIDO, a global lifestyle brand with a focus on anthropology, travel and beach life.
